Jan 18, 2021 COVID-19 Announcement
For the safety of our patients we have implemented new procedures for in office visits. Update on COVID-19 Vaccinee: COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed in a phased approach. On Thursday, Virginia’s governor announced changes to the state’s COVID-19 vaccination program. Gov. Ralph Northam says people 65 years old and older are now in Phase 1b. Virginia’s local health districts will progress through prioritization phases at different times, depending on vaccine supply and demand. Prince William County had started phase 1b on January 11th. Phase 1b involves vaccinating people in these groups: ● Frontline essential workers (police, fire, and hazmat; corrections and homeless shelter workers; childcare and K-12 teachers and staff; food and agriculture [including veterinarians and veterinary technicians]; manufacturing; grocery store workers; public transit workers; public and private mail carriers; and officials needed to maintain continuity of government) ● Persons aged 65 years and older or younger than 65 with chronic medical conditions like diabetes, respiratory disorders like asthma or COPD , heart disease like congestive heart failure , etc ... ● People living in correctional facilities, homeless shelters and migrant labor camps
Our staff will screen patients 24 hours prior to their appointment. Upon arrival we ask that patients wait in their vehicle and call the office to check in, prior to entering the office our staff will check everyone's temperature and everyone will be required to wear a face mask. Anyone with COVID-19 related or exposure is required to do a Virtual Visit.
As of this point of time we had not received COVID 19 vaccine to administer to our patients. Please visit Virginia Department of Health for further information and to register for vaccine administration.
